Child Protection Policy

Child Protection

At Walnut Park, we take seriously the protection of children and youth. The Bible, and Jesus Himself, demonstrates clearly that children are highly valued and to be protected (Psalm 127:3; Mark 9:36-37; 10:13-16; Matthew 18:1-14; James 1:27). Therefore, Walnut Park Baptist Church has adopted a Child and Youth Protection Policy to help ensure the safety of all children under our care. You can view the policy by clicking the button below.

Our Commitment

We pledge to conduct the ministry of Jesus Christ in a way that glorifies God by supporting parents and encouraging children to be gospel-centered, grace-saturated disciples of Jesus Christ. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for those in our ministry activities – children, youth, and vulnerable adults. We also seek to minimize any vulnerability to unwarranted accusations of improper behavior that our organization, volunteers, and employees may experience as they fulfill their ministerial duties. To fulfill this commitment as fully as possible, our leadership team has adopted a Child and Youth Protection Policy to be used, without exception, when selecting ministry volunteers and new employees, and supervising children and youth.
